Terms of Travel

THIS AGREEMENT sets forth the terms under which we, Global Wanderer Travel, LLC d/b/a – “Global Wanderer Travel” agree to provide you with the services and accommodations for your tour.
 
RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT. Receipt of the full payment amount, and the signed contract (electronic signature or hand-signed) is required to confirm your reservation. If paying online, your submission of personal and credit card information via the Website shall be considered your reservation request and electronic signature for same. For bookings made within 60 days of departure, payment must be made by certified bank check or credit cards. You will be charged the cost of sending documents by express mail. We accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express for all tour payments. Note: we cannot accept credit card information via email. We also accept personal checks (written on a U.S. bank account), bank drafts, and money orders made payable to Global Wanderer Travel in U.S. dollars. If a payment to Global Wanderer Travel is returned unpaid for any reason, we will assess a $35 returned item fee per occurrence. The fee(s) will be added to the applicable tour balance, and must be paid in full in order to have your reservation request confirmed for the specified tour.
 
AIRFARE . All customers are responsible for booking their own airfare to and from the tour destination. Airfare is not included in the quoted tour prices and is not the responsibility of Global Wanderer Travel to secure on customers' behalf.


PRICES . All prices are subject to increase up to the receipt of final payment due to any increase in our costs, such as, but not limited to: increases in air, land or sea fares, fuel cost, hotel costs, and currency fluctuations. All taxes, fuel surcharges, security charges and any other taxes or charges imposed by airlines, airports, cruise lines, governments, etc. are not included in price. After the receipt of final payment, the only price increases can be for newly imposed governmental taxes. Gratuities not specifically mentioned are excluded.
 
FINAL DOCUMENT REVIEW . While Global Wanderer Travel takes the utmost care in making sure the information on your itinerary and travel documents (collectively, “Final Documents”) is complete and accurate, it is your responsibility to carefully read and review the final documents upon receipt. Failure to contact us in time to allow for the correction and re-sending of the final documents could result in the loss or cancellation of your reservation, tickets or services listed on the documents for which Global Wanderer Travel will not be responsible. In such a case, no refunds will be possible.
 
UNUSED TOUR ELEMENTS . No refund will be given for any unused tour features, whether because of customer’s choice, operational reasons, because of bad weather or any other reason.
 
ERRORS . In case of printing, typographical error, computer error, verbal or human billing error, we reserve the right to invoice or re-invoice participants with corrected billing.
 
BAGGAGE . Each tour member is limited to one large suitcase and one small carry-on due to limited baggage space on transportation. For some airlines and taxi/coach transfers, extra luggage may be subject to an extra charge due on the spot by the customer.
 
NAME MUST MATCH PASSPORT.  The name given on your Global Wanderer Travel booking must match the name on your passport, and in turn, the name on your transport ticket(s) and hotel reservation(s). Any variation between the spelling of your name on your ticket/reservation and passport will require re-ticketing, often at the cost of a completely new ticket.
  
FEES FOR TRAIN TICKETS REVISIONS/CANCELLATIONS .Train tickets (when applicable to a particular tour) are not changeable and not refundable at any time. Any change to a train date, schedule or route will require the purchase of a completely new ticket.
 
FEES FOR CANCELED TOUR SERVICES . If you cancel your tour reservation, the cancellation charges shown below will apply. Cancellation charges are based on the number of days from the time Global Wanderer Travel is notified of your cancellation, to the start of the services provided.  
 
Days Prior to Start of Tour Services - Cancellation Charges:
61 days or more - $350 per person
60 to 31 days - 25% of total tour services
30 - 15 days - 50% of total tour services
14 - 3 days - 75% of total tour services
2 days or less - 100% of total tour services
   
CANCELLATIONS. Cancellations must be in writing: sent via email on our Website using the contact form or to info@globalwanderertravel.com; or mailed to Global Wanderer Travel, 4201 Wilson Boulevard, Suite 110-255, Arlington, VA 22203. Cancellations become effective on the date received by Global Wanderer Travel.
 
You may consider purchasing optional travel and health insurance for your trip. Global Wanderer Travel does not sell, endorse, or in any way represent insurance plans.
 
REFUNDS & COMPLAINTS . We work around-the-clock to ensure your trip goes smoothly and according to plan. However, unexpected problems, often out of our control, can still arise. We urge you to work with us in correcting the problem on the spot instead of dealing with it after you return home.
 
While on our tours, work with your tour guide to resolve concerns at a specific attraction or event. Alternatively, speak to your hotel front desk manager/concierge, bus driver, etc.
 
If a refund is warranted (prior to the start date of the specified tour only), it is under the express condition that you release us from all further liability and you thereby waive all additional rights and remedies under this contract or any applicable state, federal or foreign law.
 
GUESTS NEEDING SPECIAL ASSISTANCE . We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to a tour member for walking, dining, getting on and off motor coaches and other transportation options, or other personal needs. Travelers who need such assistance must be accompanied by a qualified companion.
  
SINGLE ROOMS . Be aware that single rooms in foreign destinations are often smaller than double rooms. Single supplements, when an option at a particular accommodation, are available for an additional cost.
 
TOUR ITINERARY CHANGES . Global Wanderer Travel reserves the right to change the scheduled tour itinerary or trip features at any time and for any reason, with or without notice and/or to substitute airlines, hotels or features of a similar category for those originally scheduled. Global Wanderer Travel shall not be liable for any such changes.
 
TOUR CANCELLATIONS BY GLOBAL WANDERER TRAVEL . From time-to-time a tour departure may be cancelled for lack of participation or other operational reasons. In such a case, Global Wanderer Travel’s sole responsibility is to provide a complete refund of monies received without any other liability whatsoever including any additional costs or fees related to cancellation of airline tickets or other travel reservations not made by Global Wanderer Travel.
 
PARTICIPATION. Although we want everyone to have a good time, it sometimes happens that someone participating on a tour can misbehave or do things that are incompatible with the safety, comfort or convenience of other participant of the tour. In those circumstances we have the exclusive right and discretion to expel anyone from a tour at any time, without any claims or complaints by you against us.
 
MISCELLANEOUS . Children under the age of 18 are not permitted on any tour provided by Global Wanderer Travel. If due to weather, flight schedules or other uncontrollable factors, you are required to spend an additional night(s), you will be responsible for your own costs, including but not limited to hotels, transfers and meals.
 
No smoking is allowed on the bus, in hotel rooms or during group meals. Smokers may smoke only outdoors and downwind from the group. Additionally, all tour participants agree to obey all local laws regarding smoking bans (including those set by all restaurants and local attractions). Participants are solely liable for any smoking-related damage, penalties, and fees.
 
The information provided during the tour is for your own personal enjoyment and not for professional use. Recording guide lectures for professional purposes and soliciting business from tour members while on tour or afterward is strictly prohibited.
 
The right is reserved to decline, to accept or retain any person as a member of these trips at any time. In any such event, Global Wanderer Travel’s sole obligation is to refund for any unused accommodations or other trip features. Tour participant certifies not to have any mental, physical or other condition or disability that would create a hazard for himself/herself or other participants.
 
RESPONSIBILITY . Global Wanderer Travel, LLC and/or Global Wanderer Travel, its and their employees, shareholders, officers, and directors (collectively, “Global Wanderer”) does not own or operate any entity which is to or does provide goods or services for your trip, including, for example, lodging facilities, transportation companies, guides or trip leaders, food service providers, equipment suppliers, ground operators, etc., including, without limitation, various entities which may utilize the Global Wanderer name. Global Wanderer Travel is not responsible for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any such person or entity, nor for any act or inaction of any other third party not under its control.
 
Without limitation Global Wanderer Travel is not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damage, injury, death, loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity of any kind which may be occasioned by reason of any act or omission beyond its control, including, without limitation, any willful or negligent act, failure to act, breach of contract of any third party, such as an airline, train, hotel, restaurant, or food supplier; bus, taxi, van, or local ground handler; local outfitter or guide, which is, to, or does supply any goods or services for this trip.
 
Global Wanderer Travel is not responsible for any loss, injury, death, or inconvenience due to delay or changes in schedule or failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart safely; overbooking or downgrading of accommodations; insolvency or default of any third party; acts of government; bites or attacks by animals, insects or pests; sickness; the lack of appropriate medical care; evacuation to same, if necessary; weather; strikes; acts of God; acts of terrorism or the threat thereof; events of force majeure; war; quarantine; Covid-19; epidemics or the threat thereof; criminal activity; or any other cause beyond its control.

COVID-19   All travelers/participants purchasing and/or taking part in one of our tours certify that they are negative for Covid-19 and have not been in close contact with anyone who is or has tested positive. All travelers must provide either proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test prior to embarking on tour. By agreeing to purchase or take part in a tour, the customer agrees to take full responsibility for any and all potential risks involved related to said tour and to abide by all relevant government/regulatory laws and guidelines.

 
BINDING ARBITRATION  The tour participant agrees that all controversies that may arise between the participant and Global Wanderer Travel concerning any subject matter, issue, or circumstance whatsoever (including, but not limited to, these Terms of Travel, this release, the tour web page, or any other literature concerning the trip, or the trip itself), shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration according to the then existing commercial rules of the American Arbitration Association in Virginia. Such proceedings will be governed by substantive Virginia law. The arbitrator and not any federal, state, or local court or agency shall have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, conscionability, or formation of this contract, including but not limited to any claim that all or part of this contract is void or voidable. No party shall bring a putative or certified class action to arbitration. The parties agree to abide by the findings of the arbitrator. Upon payment for a tour, tour participant indicates acceptance of the above Terms of Travel and of the Arbitration Agreement.
