Itinerary

Day 1 (Sunday) - Arrival in Costa Rica
Arrival in Costa Rica today. Enjoy your hotel in San Jose to settle into the trip.

Day 2 (Monday) - Explore San Jose
Start off by exploring San Jose, the capital city of Costa Rica (and the country's main urban center). Visit the Gold Museum to learn about the ancient cultures of the country. Spend the rest of the day exploring the Mercado Central (Central Market) for an authentic local experience of daily life, and wander the streets of the city to immerse yourself in the food, culture, and people of Costa Rica.

Day 3 (Tuesday) - Dublin Castle & Guinness Brewery
Start your day with a castle in the city. Dublin Castle is a central Dublin landmark, and was the seat of British government power in Ireland until 1922. Enjoy a tour of the lavishly decorated state function rooms as well as the castle towers. Take in the grandeur of Saint Patrick's Hall, the room where the Irish presidential inaugurations are held.

Later in the afternoon, visit the world famous Guinness Brewery and learn about the history of the brewery and the beer. Wind down your day with a pint (or two) in true Irish fashion.

Day 4 (Wednesday) - Giant's Causeway and Belfast
Today, change things up and explore Northern Ireland's biggest draws — Belfast, Giant’s Causeway and the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge — on a day trip from Dublin. In Belfast, you’ll explore sites of the capital’s conflicted history: the mural-strewn streets of the Falls and Skankill neighborhoods and the Belfast Docks. Then course along the Antrim Coast to experience one of Ireland's great geological wonders, the UNESCO World Heritage Site Giant’s Causeway, followed by a stop at the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. Take in the surrounding headlands that were also used as a filming location for many Game of Thrones scenes.

Day 5 (Thursday) -  Free Day
After traveling around Ireland, take today to do as you please. Enjoy a relaxing day in Dublin eating and drinking or exploring the area's rich culture and history or, if you have the energy and motivation for adventure, head out into the surrounding Irish countryside and coast to enjoy nature.

Day 6 (Friday) - Blarney Castle and Cork
Finish off your experience of Ireland with a full-day trip to three of the country’s main attractions. Travel through the Irish countryside to visit Blarney Castle, and kiss the enchanting Blarney Stone. Also visit Cahir Castle and the Rock of Cashel Cathedral and gain insight into the region’s rich heritage.

Day 7 (Saturday) - Depart Dublin
Depart Ireland today to return home, with a mix of city and countryside experiences and memories (and plenty of photos) of Ireland.

Day 8 (Sunday) - Depart Costa Rica
Depart Ireland today to return home, with a mix of city and countryside experiences and memories (and plenty of photos) of Ireland.
